Businss skills migration scheme

 

Australian government welcomes business owners and investors from worldwide to immigrate to Australia.  With their talent and experience in business or investment, Australian government believes they definitely would bring significant contributions to Australian. 

 

Businss innovation (TR)

 

- Be under 55 years of age

 

- Scores at least 65 on the point

 

- For two out of the past four fiscal years, holds at least 30% of ownership interest in the nominated business(es) that had at least A$500,000 turnover in each of those two years

 

- Have an overall successful business career

 

- Have a genuine desire to continuously own and maintain a management role in a business in Australia.

 

- Have at least A$800,000 net assets that are lawfully acquired and available for legal transfer to Australia within two years of the visa being granted

 

* The points test includes:

• age

• English language ability

• qualifications

• experience in business or investment

• net personal and business assets

• business turnover

• innovation

 

 

Business innovation (PR)

 

- Holds an eligible visa and have lived in Australia for at least 12 months within last two years

 

- Participate in day-to-day management of the nominated business in Australia for at least two years

 

- Owns at least 30% (51%) of share in the nominated business

 

- The turnover of the buiness has achieved at least A$400,000 (A$300,000) in the 2nd nominated year

 

- Meet at least two of the following three requirements:

 

 (1). Has invested at least A$200,000 in the nominated business through out the 2nd nominated year

 

 (2). Has at least A$600,000 net assets in Australia through out the 2nd nominated year

 

 (3). Has hire at least two full-time Australian employee through out the 2nd nominated year

 

 

 

Significant investor stream

 

- No age requirement

 

- Live in the nominated state for at least 40 days per year (calculated cumulatively) for the duration of the provisional visa, or your spouse to live for at least 180 days per year (calculated cumulatively) for the duration of the provisional visa.

 

- Have net assets of at least A$5 million that are legally acquired, unencumbered, and available to be used to make the complying investment in Australia for the duration of the provisional visa.

 

- You and your partner must not have been involved in unacceptable business or investment activities.

 

* Complying Significant Investments:

• At least A$500,000 in venture capital and growth private equity funds which invest in start-ups and small private companies.

• At least A$1.5 million in approved managed funds investing in emerging companies listed on the Australian Stock Exchange.

• A ‘balancing investment’ of at least AUD3 million in managed funds that may invest in a range of assets, including ASX-listed companies, Australian corporate bonds or notes, annuities and commercial real estate.
